About Design Scapes

DesignScapes is a landscape firm located in Raleigh, N.C. specializing in custom residential design and installation. DesignScapes was established in 1987 by Susan Downing and has since been serving the Triangle area with custom landscape design, installation and outstanding customer service.

The DesignScapes staff includes an experienced landscape installation team committed to delivering an exceptional product. Each team member takes real pride in their work; our passion for landscape design is clearly demonstrated in both the installation process and the end product.

The Raleigh landscape design and installation team at DesignScapes forges long term, lasting relationships with clients. Our services don't end after installation.  We often return to help with seasonal maintenance.

Susan Downing, lead landscape designer at DesignScapes, is a native of North Carolina and has a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University in horticulture with a specialty in landscape design. She is a registered North Carolina Landscape Contractor.
