Early Bloomers

Don’t worry! There is a light at the end of this long Winter tunnel! You should get your landscaping ready for spring! Below is a list of trees that bloom in the early Spring!

Magnolia stellata “Royal Star”

Small rounded tree with creamy white lemon-scented flowers. Flower buds emerge pink and open to pure white petals.

Saucer Magnolia

There are many different cultivars with varying colors such as: white, purple, and pink.

Chinese Redbud (cercis chinensis)

Showy rose-purple flowers cover the stems in Spring. Dark green leaves and multi-stemmed habit.

Peggy Clarke Japanese Apricot

Flowers sporadically during warm spells from January to March. Double, rose flowers with red calyx.

Okame Cherry Tree

Carmike pink petals with a rose-red calyx. Fruits are small and ornamental on this tree. It is also very beautiful in the Fall. It’s a great tree for your landscaping year-round.
